Thanksgiving Week 2010

Tyler was promised a bonfire. Since we couldn't make it to Uncle Billy's, we had to make our own. Hot dogs and s'mores in the shop. Yum!
Carter surprised us all by getting in Noah's swing with his blanket. It was just too enticing.

Two tables end-to-end will seat everyone.
While I get dressed, they play in the bath tub and dry the shower.

Emily, Tyler, Carter, Landon and Stormy enjoyed the guns and hideout.

Uncle Robert and Aunt Peggy spent some time with us.
Stephen and his cousin, Justin killed a few ducks on their early morning hunt.
The guys took the girls varmint hunting.

We sure did enjoy showing Uncle Billy and Aunt Dean around our new place. Aunt Dean understands that we are trying to make a place for everyone to come.

More later...

Holiday Weekend

Another holiday plus a day of vacation gave me a long weekend. We had a few projects we wanted to get done.

This was the biggest one.
This is the before...

We tore off the inside wall...

then we cut the outside wall...

then we tore out everything...Then we added the floor to ceiling windows.

You'll have to come and see the "after".

On Saturday my girlfriends and I went to Little Rock to see the Broadway play, Wicked. Great fun!!!!

Sure do enjoy long holiday weekends.

Carter and his daddy

Carter came to the farm and brought his daddy.
He didn't have to share anything the whole weekend.

"Yee Haw!"
Daisy was Heather's when she was little.

Carter's really smart. He was quite amazing with the sticker book...
...and the puzzles.

The one thing he wanted to do was feed the cows.

He'll be back soon.

Another fall weekend in Arkansas

This was Noah's first trip to Arkansas. And his first time to meet Granddaddy. Noah loved talking to him.

He's so cute when he's sleeping.
His mama sure does love him.

And she sure loves Emily. They had so much fun together.

Emily looked so pretty!

Stephen and Heather were so good to come and spend time with Jennifer and her sweet children.

Emily says Uncle Stephen is her best friend. They do play well together.

A great picnic on a beautiful day.

I can't believe I'm trimming Emily's hair after doing Jennifer's for so many years.

Can't wait for them to come back for more fun.

Fall Weekend in Arkansas

We enjoyed a fall picnic down by the pond on the picnic table.
It's obvious that there is no real need for hi-tech toys. This is pine straw attached to a stick with duct tape. Tyler and Carter recognized them for what they are - brooms. And they knew they would make great witches brooms - of course.

There is always work to do in the woods.

Rain and cooler temps would be nice.

Grandparent's Day, Emily and Noah

Grandparents Day at Emily's school - Jennifer, Noah, Emily, Grandmother and Poppa.

Emily and Shirley Sherbert. Shirley came for the Teddy Bear picnic that was held later in the day. Isn't Emily beautiful!
Noah is growing. He's getting the little fat tummy. He didn't sleep all of the time. He's so sweet!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

The weekend was filled with many outdoor activities.

Tyler, Carter and Stephen are going to check out things. Carter and Tyler showing off their carpentry skills. This was their daddy's tool box from when he was a little boy. They love playing with Daddy's old toys.

The big boys, Stephen, Daniel and Joe put on their leafy suits and went crow hunting.

This was one of the crows they brought back to show the little boys.

This was the biggest fish caught.

The deer stand had to be put together before they could add it to the other stands, cameras, and feeders already in the woods.

Carter was waiting for someone to take him fishing.

That was fun!

There they go again!

Aunt Pat invited the children for breakfast at IHop and told everyone to wear their hat.

Great breakfast, great visit, great fun!

Aunt Pat, Madison, Mason, Sarah, Emily.

The three cousins - Madison, Sarah, Emily.

The three sisters - Wanda, Charlene, Pat.

Emily called mine a sombrero hat.

Emily's chosen breakfast. All that was left was the pancake.

Thanks Aunt Pat!
