Kitchen & Furniture

Over the weekend, I received requests for pictures of the kitchen and of my new furniture.
So............
White cabinets with cherry cabinets on the island and hutches in the breakfast area. Uba tuba granite countertops.Drawer microwave and mixer lift in center island.

This bar is perfect for laying out all meals in a buffet.
Glass front, glass shelves matching hutches. Great place for "pretties".

In January Judy took me to furniture market and helped me spend money. Everything has come in except the bedroom suite, nesting tables and sofa table.
I call this my mail table. We put the mail here so we always know where to find it. It's at a height that we can look through the mail easily and plenty of neat storage for stuff. Grandmother Hughes' mirror.
I got 8 dining chairs and 4 of the side arm chairs pictured here and in the next one
I hope to find a drop leaf table to go with these chairs in this spot
I love my pub/bistro dinette set. It can be a round table or a square table.Joe likes his new desk chair. It adjusts several ways as well as being attractive.A leather rocker recliner. Two sofas in a rich brown upholstery. And two taupe ottomans.

Lots of work to still be done and then the decorating.

I'm Back!

I'm sorry that I have been gone so long on my blog. It started with a computer in need of repair and ended with not knowing how to catch up on what I hadn't posted.

Thanks for interest in what's been going on.

As Jennifer posted on her blog, we all converged at Daniel's for Carter's second birthday. Isn't he so cute! Cornelia's family thinks he looks like Daniel.

Earlier in the day I had attended by brother's wedding. Allen and his wonderful bride, Linda.

And his super, special, successful children

Kyle and Jill, Chris, Kerri and Stephen, Bryan

A great weekend with lots of the family!

Love you all!

First Grandparents Day

Note: This is Jennifer. I'm posting for Mom today because her computer is not working right now. She came to visit us this weekend and I wanted to post an update for her.

Grandmother drove up to Oklahoma City on Thursday night so that she could go to Emily's school bright and early Friday morning for Grandparents Day.

The cinnamon roll and coffee breakfast was before school - starting at 7:30am. Emily's Nanny and Pops also joined us for breakfast along with Madison and Mason and Aunt Pat.

After breakfast, Emily took Grandmother to her classroom to show off her desk and all her friends.

It was a fun morning and I think it was well worth the drive for Grandmother to attend her first Grandparents Day breakfast at school.

Fun on the farm Day 7 & 8

Jennifer and Mike came Saturday afternoon. The sprinkler was too fun to resist.

Carter loves to play with Tyler's computer. He knows the buttons to make the noise.

Emily enjoyed showing her Mommy and Daddy the things she played with in the "play" house.

We found a frog in the swimming pool this morning. Tyler wanted it.

Granddaddy gave Carter a ride in the bucket. They were big buddies.

They're all gone now. We had more fun!

Fun on the farm week

We are having a wonderful time! Emily and Grandaddy have been having fun. Emily showed him how to play a fishing game on the Game Boy. It looks like Grandaddy caught one! The new house is our "play house" for the week. Each room is set up for a different type of play.
Emily loves the Barbie room.

Tyler and Carter like the Truck/animal room.More fun!
